Mark your calendars and gather your friends and family—we’ve got a delightful live music event for you performed by our own talented neighbours (and guests), this coming Sunday (6th July) at 4 pm on Midsummer Lawn.

We’re kicking things off with a cappella harmony from Mark and friends, aka ‘The Jolly Warblers’, offering English part songs—perfect for a warm summer’s afternoon. Expect an evocative mix of words by Shakespeare, Nash, Browne and others with music from composers ranging from the 17th to 20th centuries.

After a short 15-minute intermission, Alicia and Felicia, the gifted young stars of last year’s Shakespeare production, return to wow us once again, this time on the keyboards. Alicia will perform the first movement of Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata and Felicia will follow with Mariage d’amour by Paul de Senneville.

Next, we’re treated to Grace playing Nuvole Bianche (“White Clouds”) by Ludovico Einaudi—a serene piece we’ll especially appreciate if it turns out to be a scorcher!

And to round off the afternoon with a smile, Rob Levy will entertain us with a selection of pop songs, self-accompanied on guitar and keyboards.

What to bring:

·   A cushion if you’re happy to perch on the steps;

·   A chair if you’d prefer a bit more support; and

·   Your own drinks to stay cool and refreshed.

Total running time: approx. 1 hour 15 minutes, including intermission.

A huge thank you to Gill for curating this lovely programme, to our generous performers, and to Bill and Yvette for supplying the keyboards.

See you there!
