Gill and Simon would like to share the following message with our community, reflecting on our successful Twelfth Night event earlier this month. And, as promised, there are a few photos at the end of our wonderful performers, supporters and audience.
Dear friends
Having had now had a little time to recover, we wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped make Twelfth Night such a wonderful success for our community.
Whether you took part in Sebastian and Viola’s shipwreck, made a donation, sewed a costume, helped with publicity, fed lines to the actors, stewarded the event, serenaded the audience on the violin, bought raffle tickets, led sea captains off to prison, accommodated yours truly, provided chocolate cake for the actors or just entered into the spirit in fancy dress – thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we are pleased to report that we have made a profit of £289.35. For those who are interested in such matters, here’s how the cookie crumbled:

Donations | £2,170.00 | |

Sponsorship (Encore) | £300.00 | |
£2,988.00 | ||

We are intending to set this money aside as a down-payment on what we hope will be future cultural activities at the amphitheatre and around Cambridge Riverside. To that end, we are planning to arrange a meeting at the beginning of September to bring together people who would like to exchange ideas. Do let us know if you are interested by emailing us at sigal2012@gmail.com.
With very best wishes,
Gillian and Simon Gallant
