The British weather might be flipping between spring and summer, but the CRRA summer season is officially underway.

We’re kicking things off this Sunday with the welcome return of boules—a relaxed, sociable game and the perfect excuse for a chat with neighbours. Whether you’re a seasoned player or have never tossed a boule in your life, you’re warmly invited to join us at Infinity Lawn (between Marlowe and Keynes Houses) at 4 pm, weather permitting.

Then, get ready to put your general knowledge to the test at our CRRA Quiz Night.

We’re delighted to be hosted by our local, The Burleigh Arms, who have generously offered us the use of their dining room for the evening. The quiz will run from 7 pm to around 9 pm this Tuesday (27th May). Although their popular restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, the pub will still be serving drinks and pub grub—so feel free to grab a bite before or during the quiz.

Don’t worry if you’re not already part of a team—just turn up on the night and we’ll help you join one. Teams of four to six people work well, but we’re flexible (within reason!). There’s no entry fee, but if you’d like to make a donation (we suggest around £10 per team), all proceeds will go towards other CRRA events planned for this summer.

We hope to see you there for games, quizzes and good company.

Keep an eye on the noticeboards and the website for details about other upcoming CRRA events, like our bring-and-share lunch on Sunday, 15th June—and note the change of venue to Infinity Lawn!
