Join us for a festive Tuesday at Cambridge Riverside

As Christmas draws near, we’ve lined up two wonderful community events on Tuesday, 23rd December to help everyone get into the festive spirit. Bundle up, bring your friends and family and join us for some classic seasonal cheer!

Carol singing at Darwin House – 4.00 pm

We’ll kick things off with carol singing outside Darwin House, starting at 4.00 pm. The Jolly Carollers—Mark and several of his choir friends—will be leading us in all our favourite Christmas tunes and we’ll have song sheets so you can join in.

After about 45 minutes of joyful singing, stick around for a chat over a mug of mulled wine with mince pies and savoury snacks.

A few extra notes to help make the event comfortable for everyone:

• Wrap up warm—we’ll be outdoors and the forecast says it’ll be quite chilly! (Christmas jumper, anyone?)

• We’ll be standing, but a few chairs will be available for those who need them

• There should be enough light under Darwin overhang to see the song sheets, but you might want to bring a torch or lantern

• Please bring a mug for mulled wine—let’s avoid disposable cups and keep things eco-friendly

Christmas concert at The Burleigh Arms – 6.00 pm

After the outdoor festivities, we’ll repair to The Burleigh Arms where the Jolly Carollers will perform a one-hour indoor Christmas concert in the dining room.

No singing required this time—just grab a drink from the bar then sit back, relax and enjoy the music. Entry is free and we’ll be collecting donations for Maggie’s, the cancer care charity, which has special meaning for some involved in the event. Find out more at https://www.maggies.org.
