Looking for a peaceful way to unwind after a busy day? Want to improve your balance, flexibility and overall well-being in a friendly, welcoming environment? Then join us for Tai Chi every Tuesday during the summer months.
Set in the heart of our beautiful, serene Darwin Garden, [Ed.: note, the venue has now changed to Infinity Lawn] these weekly sessions with a qualified teacher offer the perfect opportunity to reconnect with yourself, with Nature and with your community.
Tai Chi originated in ancient China as a martial art grounded in Taoist philosophy. Over the centuries it has evolved into a gentle, flowing form of movement focused on balance, energy and mindfulness. Often described as "meditation in motion," Tai Chi is now practised around the world for its physical and mental health benefits.
The practice can help reduce stress, improve flexibility and enhance strength, coordination and balance. Many people also find it helps clear the mind, sharpen focus and encourage a greater sense of calm and well-being.
Plus, it's a lovely way to meet neighbours, make new friends and enjoy some fresh air in a truly peaceful setting.
Sessions are 5-6 pm every Tuesday and cost £6 per session; no need to book in advance. No special equipment or experience is required — just comfortable clothes, an open mind and a willingness to try something new.

Thanks Lindsay - yes no prior experience required and it is an hour of Tai Chi/Qicong exercises which are very gentle!
