Sunshine, good company and a feast on Infinity Lawn

What a day we had yesterday for our bring-and-share summer lunch on Infinity Lawn. After a week of weather-watching, fingers firmly crossed and ten minutes’ anxiety during a heavy shower shortly after set-up, the weather finally played ball and gave us a glorious afternoon for our party.
It was delightful to see so many people there. There was a real buzz as neighbours old and new mingled, caught up and indulged in the amazing array of food on offer—a mouth-watering spread that filled three tables. Thank you to everyone who brought something along to share; the variety and quality were wonderful.
A special highlight was Ken’s fantastic Pimms bar—just perfect for a summer afternoon and delivered with his characteristic panache and hospitality.
Of course, none of this would have happened without the brilliant organisation of Jane, who deserves our deepest thanks. And hats off to the behind-the-scenes team who helped make everything run smoothly: Ken and Ruth, Tony, Tony, Tony and Graham, Hilary, Carmel, David and Sidney, Penny, Gill—and apologies if I’ve missed anyone. Your efforts were truly appreciated.
Here’s to more sunny afternoons and community gatherings like this one. Until next time!
